A bed is not furniture — it is the architectural centre of the bedroom. It determines circulation, the psychology of the space, and the long-term flexibility of your room layout. At Sleepy's we have been making beds since 1956 through Englander in the USA, and for over 30 years with our in-house Sleepy's collection in Greece. Two schools of craftsmanship, one quality standard: hardwood frames, industrial fixings instead of glue, and removable upholstery covers where applicable.

Structural Lifespan
Kiln-dried hardwood frames, reinforced joints, mechanisms by Bortes (Germany). No MDF, no low-strength adhesives. 20+ years of use without trembling.

Beyond standard sizes, we design beds from 80 cm to 220 cm in width. For master bedrooms with unusual dimensions, hotels and superyachts. Delivery 4-6 weeks.

Categorisation is mostly by dimension — but the right choice depends on number of sleepers and room dimensions.
Single
For one person. 90×200 is standard, 110×200 (small double) adds comfort without monopolising space. Ideal for children's rooms, guest rooms, small apartments.
Double / Queen
140×200 for compact rooms, 160×200 for couples who sleep well together. Most popular size in Greece — fits nearly every 10–14 sqm bedroom.
Super King
180×200 (UK King) is the premium standard for couples — 30% more personal space vs 160×200. 200×200 (king) for master bedrooms 16 sqm+.

Storage Beds
In apartments up to 70 sqm, a storage bed is perhaps the highest-impact choice you can make for the bedroom.
Lift mechanism
The entire frame rises with German Bortes mechanism. Capacity ~600 litres in 160×200 size. Ideal for winter duvets, suitcases, seasonal clothes. Add-on +€300-€700.
With drawers
2-4 drawers on the sides. Better daily-access. Less capacity (~250 litres) but more ergonomic for clothes and linens.
